Solution

The pump has a reduced water flow.

A: Delivery pipe obstructed
B: Suction pipe obstructed.
C: Check valve obstructed.
D: Air leaking into the system.

A-B-C: Clear any obstructions.
D: Check the tightness of the seals and suction pipes.

The pump motor doesn’t start.

A: No electric power.
B: Faulty capacitor.
C: Pump in alarm due to lack of water.
D: Thermal protection has tripped.
E: Electronic board is faulty.

A: Check pump is connected to the power supply.
B: Qualified person to replace capacitor.
C: Ensure there is water available and pump is primed.  Reset pump.
D: Check for blockages in the delivery pipe.  Allow pump to cool.  Reset pump.
E: Qualified electrician to replace electronic board.

Pump starts and stops intermittently when supply is closed.

A: Small leak in the system.
B: Pump is broken.

A: Find and eliminate the leak.  If it cannot be stopped entirely then attach a pressure vessel to the delivery side.
B: Contact your retailer.

Pump does not restart after the supply is reopened

A: Pump in alarm due to lack of water.
B: Thermal protection has tripped.
C: Water head above 10 meters.
D: Faulty pressure switch.

A: Ensure there is water available and pump is primed.  Reset pump.
B: Check for blockages in the delivery pipe.  Allow pump to cool.  Reset pump.
C: Maintain a water head of less than 10 meters.
D: Qualified electrician to replace pressure switch.
